Qualities of a Good Photograph #1

ATomasello_blogpost1
In order to have a good photograph, you must capture the emotion of the image. You also have to make sure that there is a good energy flow to go along with the picture to keep the audience attached.  Light is also a good thing to have when taking a picture because it can easily change the emotion and meaning of the picture.  Another thing that the photographer needs to have is background or surroundings. If there wasn’t a set background than the photograph may not have the same meaning as it would if there was a set background that went along with the picture. Also, you have to make sure that when you put all of these things together, the audience feels a connection towards the photograph.  The photographer has to make sure that they have all of these things to create a great photograph. The different surroundings around you make just as good of a picture as one that is set up. Such as the weather, the different seasons, just an area with good lighting. If you take an amazing picture of some of these things, people might be more aware of their surroundings. Even if you take a really horrible picture, if it creates an emotional response for the audience, than you did not fail because that’s what photographers like the most, for their image to create emotion.

Best Photo

My photo is the best photo because it has a really good setting around it and it just looks like a really good photo that someone could easily connect and emotion with. I dimmed out the sun in the background so it would make the ground and houses more visible. It is just all around a good picture.
